Daily correlation between symbols
A value from −1 to +1 showing how closely two symbols' daily moves tracked each other over the last 30 days. Recalculated every 10 minutes.
| BTC | UMA | |
|---|---|---|
| BTC | 1.00 | 0.72 |
| UMA | 0.72 | 1.00 |
Beta to BTC
Correlation is how closely two assets move together; beta is how many percent this asset moved on average on a day BTC moved 1%. Based on daily closes, using the same date pairs as the correlation.
| Symbol | beta | Days used |
|---|---|---|
| BTC | 1.00 | 30 days |
| UMA | 1.69 | 30 days |
※ If the two assets share fewer than 8 days, or BTC did not move at all in the window, the value is left blank — never filled with 0. Beta is an average relationship in past moves and says nothing about future moves.
Reading the correlation
- +0.7 and above: strong positive correlation (they move together)
- +0.4 ~ +0.7: moderate positive correlation
- -0.1 ~ +0.1: unrelated (they move separately)
- -0.4 ~ -0.7: moderate negative correlation
- -0.7 and below: strong negative correlation (they move opposite)
Note: crypto uses exchange daily candles; Korean stocks, indices and US stocks use daily candles supplied by MarketSurfer. When a ticker overlaps with a coin, the coin is looked up first. Symbols whose candles could not be retrieved are left out of the table rather than filled with 0. Symbols with a high correlation give little diversification when held together.
Symbols diverging from BTC right now (decoupling)
Where the table above shows Whether the two moved together, this block lists Symbols diverging from BTC. MarketSurfer checks six timeframes from 4-hour to monthly and lists a symbol only when a majority diverges — a split in only one timeframe is often just that day's noise.
No symbols diverged from BTC in the latest check (as of 11-02 18:05 KST).
