Risk management calculator
Computes the exact formulas from the risk course — stop distance sets position size, and performance is measured in R.
Set the stop level first, then size down to fit that distance.
Trade plan input
Enter once and position size, reward-to-risk, expectancy, and split placement are computed together. Stop distance sets position size — the wider the stop, the smaller the position.
The starting values are an example — Bitcoin's current price as entry, 4-hour support leg 1 as stop and resistance leg 1 as target. Change them freely.
Split take-profit
With a single target, “when to take how much off” cannot be computed. Enter per-leg target prices and weights to see realized P&L and what remains.

How to read these results
- Stop distance, not conviction, sets position size. You do not size up because a spot looks good — a closer stop is what allows a larger position.
- With positive expectancy, a low win rate is fine. Even at a 40% win rate, a 1:2 risk-reward ratio gives +0.20R per trade. Do not judge by win rate alone.
- Splitting is a tool for dividing risk, not for lowering your average price. Total risk is derived from each leg's own stop distance — even when split, a full fill stopped out loses exactly 1R.
- The stop price here must come from structure, not arithmetic — decide where support or resistance breaks first, then enter the numbers.
