* Difference = (Coinbase USD ÷ exchange USDT − 1) × 100. A positive value means Coinbase is higher. USDT is not converted to one dollar, so any gap between USDT and one dollar is mixed into this difference. Both are last trade prices fetched separately, not values from the same instant. Public quotes from Coinbase, OKX and Bitget are used; Binance is not used because it is blocked by region.
How to read this screen
- What this number measures
It is how far apart the Coinbase dollar price and the exchange USDT price of the same coin are. It is positive when Coinbase is higher and negative when lower. - Dollars and USDT are not the same value
This calculation does not convert USDT to one dollar. If USDT is away from one dollar, that gap is mixed into the difference, so it is not purely a price gap between venues. - This is not a gauge for buying high or selling low
It records the current price gap between two markets as it is. Do not infer a direction from the sign alone.
