What is Funding Rate?

Basics

펀딩비

A cost exchanged periodically between longs and shorts to keep the price of a perpetual futures contract anchored to spot. When the futures price is above spot, longs pay shorts; when it is below, shorts pay longs. A value heavily skewed to one side means positions are crowded in that direction, so liquidations can cascade when a reversal comes.
