What is Gap?

Charts

갭

A range between the close of one candle and the open of the next in which no trading took place. It arises when information that arrived while the market was closed is priced in all at once. Because there were no actual fills in that range, no support or resistance has formed there. Gaps are relatively rare in markets that trade around the clock.
