What is Market Cap?

Basics

시총

A company's market valuation, calculated as the share price multiplied by the number of shares outstanding. The share price alone does not show a company's size, and a share that looks cheap may belong to a large company. Comparisons should always be made by market cap, not by share price.

Market Capshare price×share count=market capwhat the whole company costs — price alone does not measure size
