What is Quantitative Tightening (QT)?

Advanced

양적긴축 (QT)

A policy in which a central bank reduces its holdings of assets to withdraw money from the market. It creates a phase of shrinking liquidity, the opposite of quantitative easing. It often acts as a burden on risk assets, and the reaction depends on whether the pace and scale proceed as announced.
