What is Range-Bound Market?

Charts

박스권

A state in which price moves up and down within a set range, capped above and below. Neither side has the advantage, so trend-following approaches are repeatedly cut at the top and bottom of the range. If the range narrows and volume keeps shrinking, it is treated as a sign that a breakout is being prepared, but the direction cannot be known until it breaks.
