What is Volatility?

Basics

변동성

The range over which price has fluctuated during a period. It is unrelated to direction: if price moves a lot, up or down, volatility is high. Even with the same stop distance, a high-volatility phase can reach the stop through normal swings alone, so position size and stop distance have to be adjusted together. It is checked by whether the high-low range of recent candles has grown compared with normal.
