What volume really is
• Price is an 'opinion', and volume is the size of money actually staked on that opinion
• If the price change is the 'result', volume is the 'effort' that produced it — a result without effort does not last
So it is read this way
• A rise carried by volume means many people bet on that direction → healthy
• A rise with volume drying up means a few pushed the quote up → a spot likely to be reversed
• A plunge with a volume explosion means panic selling poured out at once → a bottom may be near
Where people slip
• They look only at price (the result) and not at volume (the effort)
• A breakout with no volume is just 'something that looks like a breakout'
Volume is the stamina of price. Beyond what price did, what matters is 'how many people took part genuinely'.
When you look at recent price moves, do you also check whether volume (effort) backed that direction?
