Why the Candle Close Matters

Why wait for the close

• A candle records 'the final agreement of that period', and a candle before its close is a mid-game score of a fight not yet over

• A large bullish candle one hour before the close can end as a doji with a long upper wick — the same candle takes on the opposite meaning

So it is done this way

• The pattern is confirmed after the candle of that timeframe has fully closed, and entry comes early in the next candle

• Closes of the 4-hour and daily candles in particular carry weight as the agreement of big money

Where people slip

• They react to a shape that changes in real time and mistake it for a 'signal' — like declaring a winner from the score of a game still in progress

An unclosed candle is a sentence not yet written. Reading comes after the agreement is done.

Have you ever judged hastily from the shape of a candle before its close? Do you wait for 4-hour and daily closes?
