What is Expected Value?

Statistics

기대값

The average amount left over per attempt. It is calculated as win rate times average win minus loss rate times average loss. A method with negative expected value turns into a certain loss as the number of trials grows, while one with positive expected value converges as trials accumulate even if there are swings along the way. That is why the sign of the expected value matters more than the result of any one trade.
