What is p-value?

Statistics

p-value

The probability that the observed result would arise from chance alone. The smaller the value, the harder it is to explain by chance. A small value does not, however, mean the effect is large; with a very large sample, even trivial differences produce a small value. Size and significance have to be looked at separately.
